I'm sorry to say I will probably not be able to accept students in 2008 for dive classes. In the past my Wife and Co-Captain has been able to run the boat while I dive or teach. Unfortunately her "real" job is taking up much of her time this year and she is unable to help as much on the boat. I will still be able to teach DAN courses and Emergency First Response. I will also be able to teach Enriched Air (NITROX), Boat Diver, and Naturalist Specialty courses as my schedule allows. I don't want to delete this page at this time so I am leaving the course descriptions. If you have any questions please let me know. If you want instruction from the boat I can usually arrange for another instructor. Thanks to all of you who have requested my instruction this spring, I'm very sorry I have not been able to teach. I hope that will change again in the future.

Are you looking for something different? We offer private and semi-private SCUBA instruction. Our open water dives are boat dives! We have flexible schedules and time to work with You! Learn at your own pace, study at home! ____________________________________________ We support your local dive shop and are not offering instruction to take business from them. We want you to buy your equipment from your local shop! We offer an option to the traditional advanced dive class. Not everyone will be interested in the service we offer. For some of you it will make more sense to take advantage of the quality instruction available at your local dive shop. Having said that; if you want something different, are interested in private or semi-private classes, and want to experience the ease and excitement of boat diving early in your dive career; this may be a great option for you!

Specialties .. (Go to the PADI web site)
Enriched Air is any combination of oxygen and nitrogen where the oxygen exceeds 21%. Benefits include increasing your bottom time safely. Enriched air will not let you dive deeper. Learn how nitrox is blended and how to analyze your air. Learn to safely plan your dives using enriched air. This course includes one knowledge review session and two boat dives using enriched air. Cost for the course is $180.00 instruction, boat fees and two tanks of enriched air. On completion of the course you will receive a PADI Enriched Air specialty card that will enable you to purchase Enriched Air. Call or e-mail us for more information.
This "Deep Diver Specialty" should not be considered a specialty so much as an introduction to deep diving. If your open water class was kindergarten, your advanced class was grade school and this is middle school. This class is intended to ensure you know the basics to properly plan a dive up to but not beyond 130fsw. With this course you'll increase your knowledge of dive planning, equipment, safety, gas management and more. We'll review some gas laws and gas management. We'll discuss the limits of enriched air for deep dives. We'll review narcosis and decompression sickness. I'll spend time telling you stuff you might already know but you'll have to listen to me because I want to make sure you understand. We'll talk about evaluating the purpose of a deep dive, descents, ascents, navigation, and more. Minimum equipment requirements include a minimum of 95 cuft cylinder and 19 cuft redundant air supply. If you're interested in this class please call me or send me an e-mail. I'll ask questions like how long you've been diving, how many cold water dives, current level of training and so on. Please understand I take all diving very seriously but this course especially so. 130 feet is no place to learn your equipment doesn't fit right or you can't deal with a flooded mask. Having said all that, there's some incredible stuff down there! If you like this class and want to continue on with this type of training I will refer you to a qualified technical instructor that will guide you through "high school" and "college"!
Boat Diver Boat diving is easy and fun, especially if you're confident with procedures, terminology and safety. We spend some class time going over the terminology, boating safety, and different procedures you may find on different boats. We'll then do two boat dives and you'll get to see how procedures may vary for different types of dives and under different conditions. Call or e-mail us for more info! Cost of the class is $125.00. That includes instruction, PADI Specialty certification card, and boat fees!
Underwater Navigator
The more I dive the more I become fascinated with what I see. No matter how many times I dive a site Ican always find something new if I look! Learning about the critters we see makes diving more fun and gives every dive a purpose. It doesn't matter what the vis is or what the bottom structure is, there are critters and life almost everywhere you're likely to dive. The Underwater Naturalist specialty will get you started. Total cost for the course with two boat dives is $125.00. Not only do you get two boat dives and the satisfaction of learning great stuff, you get another PADI specialty certification card!
