While you enjoy the scenery of beautiful Hood Canal you can learn about what's under The Hood! We'll have a computer slide show in the cabin for you to view the critters we commonly see at our local dive sites. You'll see photos of the Giant Pacific Octopus, Wolf Eels, Ling Cod, a variety of Rock Fish and Sculpins. You see photos of colorful invertebrates that look more like plants than animals.
Reservations are subject to availability of the boat. Weekdays and evenings are usually possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request so don't be afraid to ask questions. We're pretty informal. We can provide snacks or a meal from the Marina deli (additional cost) or you can bring your own. Our boat, "Down Time", is a 38 foot Chris Craft Sport Fisherman that has been modified for recreational dive charters. Lots of big windows in her heated main cabin, along with the view from her flybridge, make her a very comfortable boat for sight seeing. We have naturalist books and binoculars on board. Our base rate for a sight-seeing charter is $100.00 per hour with a 1 hour miniumum. Additional fuel charges may apply for fast trips to distant destinations. The rate is for the boat, not per passenger. We take up to six passengers. Please call or e-mail for reservations or more info.

We offer sight-seeing, sunset
cruises, and custom charters for anyone who wants to experience Hood Canal from
the water. Don and Diane have many years of experience in local
waters and sailing off shore from Washington to Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii.
We've been running a charter boat out of Pleasant Harbor Marina on "The Hood"
since early 2002 and in that time have logged over 15,000
miles in the local waters exploring the sights above and below the
surface. We're happy to share our stories and experience with anyone
interested.
